High Volume Swiss Screw Machining Swiss Screw Machining
Originating in Switzerland in the late 1800’s to manufacture high-volume, precision parts for the Swiss watch industry, Swiss screw machining has evolved into a precision machining technology that produces critical parts and components for many industries and applications across the globe…

CNC Swiss Screw Machining
In recent years, the set-up intensive, mechanically complex cam operated Swiss screw machines have begun to be replaced by CNC-controlled Swiss screw machines. This has led to the development of additional capabilities for CNC Swiss screw machining, plus a reduction in the amount of time required to set-up a machine when changing from one part to another…

Escomatic Screw Machining
Escomatic screw machining also utilizes the “sliding headstock” principle to achieve demanding tolerance and finish requirements, but in a major diversion from conventional screw machines, the material does not rotate, the tooling actually rotates around the raw material. This allows the use of raw material in coil form, which generates cost savings due to decreased down-time to reload bars in the machine, and reduced material costs by the elimination of “bar ends” in the machining process. The reduced time demands to handle raw material also generates improved labor productivity when using Esco machinery…
